Into the Deep In Prayer
Today let’s talk about Deep Prayer, the kind of prayer that makes changes happen.
Most often when you pray there’s a feeling of both desperation and hope. Hope that God will answer the prayer, desperation because of a need which usually is or seems urgent.
Some search the scriptures to find comfort while in the situation, hoping it will go away in time or by some means. Others search the scriptures for ways to attack the problem and stand against the fiery darts of the enemy, taking on the battle directly with power.
But there are those of us who are a bit “peculiar” to others, because we have another or praying way which is a bit more “outrageous”. We follow Yeshua (Jesus) and use the Word YAHWEH left us to stand against “the wiles of the devil” and address head on what we are facing as “the mountain that must move” out of the way.
We STAND on YAHWEH’S promises like Yeshua did and leave the Battle to the LORD.
This may be a challenge to some of you who have never realised this is the power in the Prayer Yeshua left us as a model for All prayers. In this format but once you see its power you may begin to see why Yeshua (Jesus Christ) instructed us to pray in this format.
Matthew 6:8-14 (NASB 1995)
8 So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
9 “Pray, then, in this way:
‘Our Father who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 ‘Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 ‘Give us this day [a]our daily bread.
12 ‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from [b]evil. [c][For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’] 14 For if you forgive [d]others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive [e]others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.
The format is easy! First, address Abba, our Heavenly Father with the reverence and awe and the wonder He deserves by saying His Name!
Next, address what you know about Him–His awesomeness, the Wonder that He Is, All Powerful, All Merciful God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, and all who dwell therein. He is All of That and so much more!
I address Abba as “All”.
“Abba, You are All I ever wanted, All I ever Needed, All that Was and Is and Is to Come–El Shaddai! My Lord God and King, Savior and Redeemer! You Are Everything! My All”
Then, tell Him what you know He can do all things and the need you have, then Ask for His relief, guidance, help using the Authority Yeshua gave us as Believers in Him, and the promises He made and gave to us for our use.
“YAHWEH, a weight is on my shoulders that belongs to You for You are the burden bearer, the Way Maker. You supply all my needs according to your riches an glory. Abba, the world is crushing in and I don’t have a solution to the problems I am facing. But You said “wait on Me”. You said, “Follow Me”. You said, “You supply all my needs according to Your riches and glory”. You said, “the battle is the Lord’s”, You said, “I can depend on you”, “You will never leave me nor forsake me”. All that I have and am is Yours. Use me–Move the mountain that stands before me. Use me to see the Way I need to go for You are The Way, The Truth and The Life. Help me to do what you want me to do according to Your Will. I am Yours. Use Me Lord, As You will. Make me “strong in the Lord and in the power of your might” today and every day, according to the plans You have for me. Make me over to accomplish it. Give me the gifts of “Wisdom, knowledge, and understanding” at your command to address the problems before me. This mountain must move! I command it to be gone in Yeshua’s name! Help me to do what you want me to do for the Glory of Your Kingdom! I stand On The Rock, The Chief Cornerstone, Today and Ever more! Mountain, MOVE Out of My Way! Thank You Abba for All that You do and All that You are for giving me peace, wisdom, and understanding to accomplish all tasks before e today. Bless the work of my hands, give me sustenance as I go forward, bless the words of my mouth as you use them to me to stand against the enemy! Give me courage and strength like Joshua and Caleb. I count it Done! In the Name of YAHWEH! It is Finished!”
If you know The Word you will see the scriptures come alive in the prayer and you will STAND your ground (Ephesians 6.10-18), wield The Sword which is the Word of God in Your Mouth, and trust Abba “to make a way out of no way”. Remember, “The Way is easy and the burden is light” because it’s not yours to carry. “Take His Yoke upon you” so that He carries the burden and You Follow Him. It ALL belongs to YAHWEH.
Who is YAHWEH? Abba–your Father, The Son–Your Husband, and The Holy Spirit–Your guide along the way who connects you to Abba and Yeshua and gives you the words to say! Remember, You are in the Son, The Son is in The Father, and The Holy Spirit is He who accomplishes what is spoken. You bear His Name–YAHWEH YESHUA ADONAI.
So when You speak having the Holy Spirit in You, YAHWEH is speaking through You using the Word He gave Us, His words, to manifest what is necessary to change what is evil “for your good” and You the Victory! You are NEVER alone!
ASK the LORD to put His words in Your mouth to fight the battle and give You victory over every challenge and circumstance that comes against you. But remember, you cannot know The Truth if You don’t get to know Him through the Word He left for us. So Go, get a Bible that makes sense to You. Study “to show yourself approved”. Read testimonies of others who walked before you through devotionals and literature they’ve written with YAHWEH. Walk with those who know The Way and “learn of Him”. Learn to stand on the promises of God, YAHWEH and make a difference in your life and in the lives of each person you come in contact with; All you need to do is say “Hi!” and see where the conversation goes.
YOU Are The Hands, Feet, Mouth, Ears, Arms, and Eyes of Christ. Let Him be Your Head! Let go of Your ways for HIS! Let YAHWEH Be Your Head and Cut off the one You have now! Don’t allow circumstances to get in the way of the life YAHWEH Has for You! Be Stong in the LORD and in “The Power of HIs might!”

Hi Dr. Rebecca, this resonated deeply with my spirit. What you shared isn’t surface-level prayer—it’s covenant prayer, the kind that anchors itself in who God is before it ever speaks about what I need. You reminded me that deep prayer isn’t about panic or performance, but about position—standing firmly on the promises of God and trusting Him to carry what was never mine to bear.
I appreciate how you emphasized alignment before petition: honoring Abba, declaring His nature, and then surrendering the battle back to Him. That posture alone shifts everything. It takes prayer out of desperation and places it back into authority—not my authority, but His, working through obedience and trust.
This also challenged me to examine how well I know the Word, because real confidence in prayer comes from intimacy, not urgency. When Scripture lives in us, our prayers stop being reactionary and start becoming declarative. We don’t fight for victory—we pray from it.
Thank you for the reminder that we are never alone, never unheard, and never powerless when we pray according to His will. This was a call to go deeper, to release control, and to let God be God—fully, completely, and without reservation.
